Up late, Trying to do more so the pain is more right now. Anyway, I took a stroll through my photo shoot of the puppies and thought I would try another. Sorry. I have to say as much wildlife as I have done I under estimated the quickness not seen by the naked eye of these little pups. Still I managed to get more in focus than out of focus but I hope to shoot them again if I can bribe the owner.

God is amazing in His creations and it always amazes me how even the smallest of creatures have their own uniqueness. He is awesome.

Thanks God for giving me the sight to see some of the precious creatures you have made.

No sun in central NC yesterday...just clouds and a light drizzle. After I put the kids in bed last night, I experimented with my beads and glass. This piece of glass is a small rectanguler snack tray that on one side has a raised notch were a little tea cup can sit. I saw it at the thrift store about a week ago and thought it was really pretty to bring home.

I've adjusted the color curves on this one in PSE. The original colors were more pastel. I also spent a good half an hour using the spot healing tool to remoe some tiny dots/imperfections. The finished photo has bolder, darker colors and hopefully has a nice smooth finish.

If you missed the details before, I take these by placing a light source over a glass object that has some sort of beads/marbles on it and shooting the picture from underneath back up through the glass. The light shining through the beads and pattern in the glass makes the picture.

My original plan with this was to get a 'blue' shot for the current dgrin challenge going on, but I ended up with too many colors that aren't blue. I'll keep trying. I need to buy a few blue beads I think. And, I keep studying the cobalt blue glass collection that I have trying to figure out if I could do something neat with it.

There are so many great shots on the dailies each day. I love participating in this group!

Maryann

I have driven past this truck for years…it is off Hwy 5 in northern California. On private land, but accessible. Somewhere along the way someone got really artistic on it… I stopped a couple months back and took some shots; day was overcast and light was diffused.

Stopped for a couple more pictures on the way back from Mom’s yesterday. Evening light, amber glows…

While the truck was really my subject, I like the wide shot that took in the surrounding scenery…

Sometimes you find potential photo subjects in the least likely places. This was a floral arrangement in the ladies room of a Thai Food restaurant I was having lunch in. Of course being part of the daily smugmug group, I had my camera with me :D!
SmugMug > popular all-time > The sun rises the other side of the fence. This far from an editorial image but thinking about the previous sentence;it could very well be. The sun is fair, everyone will have its warmth, just at different times. Cheers, JY
